Relationship Questions
If you are a primary account member, joint account member, trustee, custodian or guardian of a membership, you will be assigned a relationship level. Visit the Member Rewards page for each level’s qualifications.
There are six levels: Student, Basic, Classic, Access, Premier and Access Premier.
Refer to the Member Rewards page for each level’s qualifications.
Yes, each level has its own benefits. Please refer to the Member Rewards page for details. Benefits are subject to change.
Your relationship level will be posted on each account statement you receive. Any branch staff can also tell you which relationship level you belong to.
The relationship fee helps to offset the costs incurred for the servicing of accounts. It also allows us to eliminate or lower other account fees.
Basic members will be charged a monthly $2.00 relationship fee. All other relationship levels will not be charged a relationship fee.
Your relationship level will be assigned on the last day of the month. Once your level is set, it is locked in until the following month. Any relationship and/or paper statement fee will be posted to your account at the end of the month. The paper statement fee will be posted based on the frequency of the statement (monthly or quarterly):
Members with a checking account will be charge the paper statement fee on a monthly basis.
Members without a checking account will be charged a paper statement fee on a quarterly basis. The exception to this is if you do not have a checking account but have an Electronic Fund Transaction during the month. In this case, you would be charged a paper statement fee for that month.
The program evaluates your relationship on the last day of the month. It is possible that you may qualify for a higher or lower level during the month, but your relationship level will only be evaluated on the last day of the month.
Only members in the Basic level are assigned a relationship fee. Members in this level can take advantage of any of the following products that may qualify them for another level, which do not have a relationship fee:
- $500 or more in deposits to your Primary or Joint Share Account
- Active loan in good standing
- Fort Financial credit card
The paper statement fee helps offset the costs incurred for processing and mailing your paper statements. The fee will be waived for members 65 years or older and less than 18 years old.
The paper statement fee is determined by the relationship level.
- Members in the Student and Basic levels who are between the ages of 18 and 64 will be charged a $2.00 paper statement fee.
- Members in the Classic level who are between the ages of 18 and 64 will be charged a $1.00 paper statement fee.
- Members in the Access, Premier and Access Premier level will not be charged a paper statement fee.
Members who elect to receive eStatements will not be charged a paper statement fee. To sign up for eStatements, log in or enroll in online banking and click on the eStatement icon once you are registered. Any Fort Financial branch staff will also be glad to assist you with signing up for online banking and/or eStatements.
