Fort Financial Announces 2025 Scholarship Program Winners
FORT WAYNE – Dayla Wright, Tavin Ray and Zoey Kingsolver have been selected as winners for the 2025 Fort Financial Credit Union Scholarship Program.
Dayla is currently a rising sophomore at the University of Mississippi majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences with plans to become a pharmacist. Her career choice is sparked by a desire to be a future solution to those in medical need. She graduated third in her class from Biggersville High School in 2024, where she competed in cheerleading and volleyball. The Corinth, Mississippi native earned Academic All-State honors on the volleyball court and was a team captain for the cheerleading squad. She is currently a member of the University of Mississippi Honor Society and was a Pharmacy Student Ambassador during the 2024-25 academic year. In addition to academics and extracurricular, Dayla's recommendation letters noted to her dedication, compassion, and resilience as an individual.
Tavin graduated from Churubusco High School in 2024 as Valedictorian and will be entering his second year at the University of Notre Dame, where he is majoring in finance and minoring in real estate. While continuing to achieve academic excellence in South Bend, his involvement beyond school has continued through his first year of college, where he invested time in clubs related to his academic paths while working part-time. Tavin’s biggest learning comes from launching his own woodworking business, where his entrepreneurial and philanthropic spirit has shown the brightest as he donates 10% of all sales to local non-profit veteran’s organization.
Zoey just wrapped up her time at Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayneis a 2025 graduate from Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne. She excelled academically with, graduating with an impressive 4.56 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale, earning a top-five placement in her class. While involved in multiple activities, Zoey also demonstrates Fort Financial’s core value of “people helping people” by volunteering for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, where she built wheelchair ramps, decks, stairs and other household items for those financially and physically in need. In the fall, Zoey will be attending Clemson University and studying Mechanical Engineering.
